Beginner Quilt Class
Ready to learn how to quilt but not sure where to start? This beginner quilt class is the perfect first step into the world of quilting!
Designed with true beginners in mind, this class will guide you through the entire process of creating a quilt top using a large-block design—making it approachable, fun, and achievable. You’ll gain confidence as you learn essential quilting skills that will set the foundation for all your future projects.
During this class, you’ll learn:
- How to read and understand a quilt pattern
- Fabric selection and accurate cutting techniques
- How to sew consistent and precise ¼" seams
- Proper pressing techniques to ensure a polished finish
- Step-by-step assembly of a quilt top
By the end of the class, you’ll have completed a beautiful quilt top measuring 56½" x 64½"—a perfect size for a throw or lap quilt.
This class focuses on building your quilt top. Quilting (the stitching that holds all layers together) and binding (finishing the edges) will be taught in a follow-up class, so you can continue your quilting journey with confidence.
Whether you’ve never touched a sewing machine or just need a refresher, this class is your starting point to a lifelong love of quilting! ?????
